The synchronous pulleys profiles are defined according UNI 8103 and DIN 7721-2 standards.
UNI 8103 standard defines pulleys for automotive use with fixed pitch equal to 9.525 mm ( 3/8 “ ) and involute
tooth flank.
The pulleys meet two dimensional characteristics, depending on their specific use:
? A Type with number of teeth ≥ 19 ( Eight cycle engine )
? AH Type with
number of teeth ≥ 21 ( Diesel engine )
DIN 7721-2 standard defines pulleys with metric pitch and trapezoidal tooth flank.
Metric pitch T2.5, T5, T10 and T20 are available and teeth number Z must be between 10 to 96.
After you have chosen the standard to use and entered the Main Data (red values)
you must always CLICK the CALCULATE button.
The Calculated Data are refreshed and you can shows next DIALOG, clicking Continue button.
Before the pulley is generated, the program verify if the data are conforming to the standard
and the 'Inspection data' DIALOG for 'PIN DIAMETER' input is displayed.
Inserts the Effective pins diameter for internal/external over-pins dimension calculation.
Press OK to generate the profile and press Solid button to make the 3D solid model.
Using Free Type option is possible to insert data to create a pulleys different from than standard ones.
Set ON the 'External Diameter d0' check control and input a new value (56mm), different form standard value.
CLICK CALCULATE button again to refresh related values.
a value (0,803066mm) and df value (51,74mm) are updated.
